Rain?!

Since we started the group back in September we have only had one week where we had any rain (and that was only a light misting of drizzle).
Today our run of fine dry Fridays came to an abrupt and slightly damp end with a (completely un-forecasted) rain shower half way through the session. The small people were fine....they were all togged up in brand new waterproofs. Unfortunately I don't think the adults had one waterproof between us!

By next week we'll do our very best to find a way of providing shelter from the rain (anybody got any large tarps lingering in the back of the garage?).

Plans are also in place to spend our Waitrose Community Matters Grant (£280!!! what great news!) to purchase a small selection of adult sized waterproof coats to add to our clothing library. We are also planning a lovely surprise to help keep stream loving tots extra comfortable...but you'll just have to watch this space to find out what were planning...
New members are ALWAYS welcome to come and join the fun, so drop us a message or just turn up and get stuck in!

Happy puddle jumping and we'll see you all next week!

Welcoming back new friends.

We had a lovely session in the woods today. It was really nice to welcome back some new friends for a second visit. Today we made bird food for our feather friends, some of which was taken home and some left hanging in the woodland garden. And there was plenty of fun had by all playing with the stacking stuff, rolling balls, playing in the stream and rampaging through the Autumn leaves.

Finally.....

We have devised a way to share our sessions with you all! The Google sites web page we have set up has a meagre storage limit which we have already exceeded, so with a bit of bodged jiggery pockery and much cursing I have finally worked out how to link a blog to the website. Which gives us a whole load of room to share photos and stories of what we've been getting up to recently!

Watch this space......
